Seven residents were displaced in a Wednesday afternoon fire, officials confirmed.
Units responded to the 500 block of Lafayette Avenue, at the intersection with Packard Avenue, shortly before 4:30 p.m. for a blaze in a two-story building divided into four apartments.
Firefighters on a ladder truck doused the last of the flames on the second floor and declared the blaze under control by 5 p.m.
The Red Cross was called in to assist the displaced residents. All of those displaced were adults.
Nearby residents gathered to watch responders at work on the spring-like February afternoon as crews packed up gear and investigators studied the scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, according to Woodbury Fire Department Chief Randall Gartner. No injuries were reported.
Units on scene in addition to Woodbury included Woodbury Heights, Wenonah, Deptford, Green-Fields, Thorofare, Mantua and Gloucester County EMS.
