At 1546 hours, District 6 was dispatched for a reported house fire in the area of Monmouth Ave and Grant Ave in the 61 Local. Police arrived on scene first and reported heavy fire and smoke from the residence. FM-6 (Austin) en-route to the scene requested the upgrade to a working fire and the all hands box struck. RIC 511 from Woodbury arrived first and stretched (1) 1 3/4 hand line to the front door. 613 arrived and secured a supply line to the hydrant, 614 and 613 assisted with pulling additional hand lines to the residence and making an interior attack. Upon arrival command was taken over by 6102 (Fanslau). The first arriving ladder, 666, vented the roof above the fire area. Primary and secondary searches proved negative for victims. Crews from Stations 62, 63, RIC 5-1 and RIC 15-1 completed the first alarm box and assisted with various tasks. The job was placed under control at 1701 hours. Later in the job due to manpower constraints the cover companies including 73, 91, 92, 13-1, 19-1, 21-1 were brought into the job. The township of West Deptford was covered by 81, 94, and 25-1. No injuries were reported during the incident and the fire is under investigation by the WDFMO. The corrected address is 273 N Monmouth Ave.
