Since the weather has become warmer, boaters and wave runners have been heard and seen throughout the Delaware River. Firefighters took advantage of the warm weather and conducted training on Marine 6-1. Members were familiarized with personal safety and as well as boating safety. While on the water, crews were explained the different depths and layouts of the Delaware River and were also explained the importance of keeping situational awareness of their surroundings due to the large amounts of debris that can be found floating and submerged. Other rescue and recovery methods were explained and what equipment is present on the boat to complete any task.
