On Wednesday April 4th, station 6-1 was dispatched into Paulsboro for a working fire inside of a warehouse. Crews arrived and located a large fire inside the warehouse and rapidly spreading to the roof. Crews attempted an interior attack but due to deteriorating conditions of the structure crews were forced to fight the fire from the exterior. Units from Gibbstown, Thorofare, Westville, East Greenwich, Woodbury and Paulsboro operated for over 5 hours to extinguish the blaze. Crews were dispatched back to the warehouse around 2130 on Wednesday for reports of flames from the rear of the building. Crews arrived and confirmed initial reports and worked for about 3 hours to control the blaze from the exterior. No injuries were reported, the cause is still under investigation.
