Just before 1630 on Easter Sunday Crews from station 6-1 and GCEMS 82-4 were alerted to a crash on the southbound side of interstate 295. Reports of a crash IAO mile post 20 with one person reported to be ejected from the vehicle. With numerous calls coming in Gloucester County Communications added a second BLS and 2 ALS to the assignment and had a helicopter on stand-by. 8245 613 arrived on scene with 2 cars in the high speed shoulder and began assessing patients. Both 8245 and 8255 transported patients to Cooper Trauma Center for evaluation. Inspiras Life Support 1 Recalled the second ALS and advised no need for the helicopter. 614 was used as a blocker to close down the high speed lane for a short time. Crews remained on scene for approximately 30 minutes. The cause of the crash is under investigation by NJSP.
